The Slumdog Millionaire hotties, Freida Pinto and Dev Patel have
become quite a talked about couple in the filmy circle.

There were no news confirmed about their relationship status, but
recently there have been reports on the two, indicating that the two
were to finally walk the Aisle and then have a grand reception, probably
on Indian shores.

Reportedly, the couple had gone to ‘Lady Jane Bakery’, a very popular
bakery in Los Angeles and had
enquired about a cake to be flown to India, etc etc.

It is noteworthy that, it was the same bakery where they had their
first date and so it occupies a very special place in the hearts of the
two love-birds.

The 25-year-old actress bonding with the 20 year old British actor,
Dev Patel, is said to be at its peak, and very soon, the world might
just see a big wedding cake flying from
LA to India, for a lavish wedding
reception
, of the love birds

Much had been said about Deepika Padukone stealing away the show from the former Miss World Aishwarya Rai Bachchan with her traditional Indian look. Now, Ash has taken up the opportunity to silence her critics and she appeared in a true Indian flavour as the trailer of Mani Ratnam’s bilingual Raavan/Raavanan was screened to the media at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival. The event was attended by the lead stars of the movie, Vikram, Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai who looked stunningly beautiful in her black saree.

Suhasini Mani Ratnam, the film’s co-producer and dialogue writer for the Tamil version, said that the film would help “Us understand the grey parts that all of us have in us…None of us is completely white or black”. She also praised A R Rahman for his work and said, “In fact, the music accentuated picture. Songs have a great role to play. They do take the plot forward.”

Ash was also there for the premiere of Oliver Stone’s latest flick, ‘Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps’, starring Hollywood big shots Shia LaBeouf, Josh Brolin, Carey Mulligan, Charlie Sheen, Michael Douglas and Susan Sarandon on Friday and she wore a stunning pink Gucci gown for the occasion.

The volcanic ash has not only crashed the private plans of some of our Bollywood stars but have also given sleepless nights to our prodcers. One such producer is Said Nadiawala whose summer comedy ‘Housefull’ which is set to release this 30th is facing a filemma as the commerical flights have been cancelled and  as per release rules the delivery overseas has to be made a week in advance of the release day.

So, Sajid Nadiawala is left with no other option but to hire private jets to take the prints of his movie to England and other European countries.

“This is most unforeseen. In all my years as a producer I’ve never encountered such a a crisis. There’re about a 100 prints to be taken into the Europe. Air traffic has come to a standstill.

I’m hiring private jets to carry the prints to the nearest city with an open air base. From there the prints will be taken to various Euopean cities by train or road. I’m so desperate I’m ready to employ any means of transporation…planes, trains, automobiles, whatever is available,” said Sajid.

Apart from the extra expenditure, Sajid also has other things to worry about. He says, “It doesn’t really matter how much money it would cost. The important thing is to get the prints to the European centres on time. Or else the entire overseas release would be affected.”

Sajid is in no mood to celebrate the completion of his movie ‘Anjaana Anjaani’ and says, “Ranbir Kapoor had a wrap-up party for Anjaana Anjaani. But I wasn’t able to attend because of the these two back-to-back crisis at my workplace. Now I’ll celebrate only when Housefull is released properly everywhere.”

The sad ending of Salman Khan and Aishwarya’s love affair has not yet been forgotten by people even after so many years. The ex-lovers too have sore wounds to heal, it seems, as the two could not hide their uneasiness when they bumped into one another while they were shooting at Mehboob Studios, Bandra for their respective films. Ash was there shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s ‘Guzaarish’, where as Salman Khan was at Mehboob shooting a promo for his movie ‘Veer’.

As per the reports, as Salman got off from his car and marched ahead talking on his mobile, at the same time Ash stepped out of a studio and walked towards her van. As their paths crossed, and the two actors noticed each other, they did stop for a moment, looked into each other’s eyes and then immediately turned the other way.

While, Aishwarya went into her van, Salman’s uneasiness was quite obvious. Post the incident, Salman wasn’t too keen to shoot, but did so anyway, and didn’t speak too much.

After Katrina Kaif endorsing Olay fairnerss cream, Deepika Padukone too joins the bandwagon by becoming the ambassador for Neutrogena Fine Fairness cream.

Deepika believes that fairness creams help to even out the skin tone and reduces pigmentation caused by sun light.

She says, “You get a sort of inner glow in your skin.”Fortunately, I am blessed with good skin, so my skin care regime doesn’t change from summer to winter but apart from this I think that having a balanced meal, leading a healthy lifestyle and drinking lots of water shows its magic.”

The channel is learnt to have paid a whopping Rs.4.5 crores for it. “With ‘Blue’ and ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ we wanted to enter the feature film slots with a bang. So far we had desisted from showing feature films,” said a source from the channel.

Colors pays Rs.4.5 crore to screen 'Ajab Prem...'

“Once we decided to show films, we had to grab eyeballs immediately. And to do so we needed films that would elicit instant reaction. Having got that with two new biggies, we’ll now settle down to telecast less recent films,” added the source.

Unlike ‘Blue’ which sank without a trace at the box office after its theatrical release Oct 16, Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif starrer ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’ is a hit. But Ramesh Taurani, producer of ‘Ajab…’, says it won’t affect the film’s collection at the ticket window.

“The satellite premiere of ‘Ajab’ is happening at December end which is two months after its theatrical release. The theatrical business nowadays is for four weeks, however successful the film,” Taurani told us.
