Bollywood fraternity is all excited about Christmas and planning to celebrate it in a different way this year. Read below:

Saif Ali khan : Yes, we do celebrate Christmas. This year during the festival, I’m trying to relive warm childhood memories with a big decorated Christmas Tree, presents under it, lots of light and the family atmosphere. But even with all these celebrations, in India, Diwali is essentially our Christmas.

John Abraham: “More than anything else, it’s a great occasion to do something good, something meaningful for people to make them happy. And yes, it’s also about some yummy food. For me, Christmas is probably that one time in the year when I allow myself to pig out on anything chocolate. That can be chocolate cakes, brownies, pudding… Ah, and how can I forget chocolate Christmas pudding, that great, traditional Christmas dessert! Well, as long as it’s about chocolate, it’s okay with me.”

Abhay Deol : Christmas is a time to celebrate. It’s also essentially a family time. Christmas for me is a time for family. I’ll probably be spending the evening with my nephews and nieces and family. I am looking forward to celebrating the festival with near and dear ones. That’s what festivals are all about for me.

Asin: “I’m upset I can’t go home for Christmas this year. Christmas is not so much about parties for me but I do give ample importance to the spirit of the festival.It is a time to remember the Lord and it also a time to spread the message of joy.We distributed gifts amongst ourselves,’’ she laughs. “I try my best not to shoot on Christmas because it is family time.”

Genelia D’Souza: “Life has been hectic and I’ve been shooting back-to-back outdoors. But Santa heard my prayer and brought me home in time for Christmas. Right since childhood, I haven’t missed out on a single midnight mass with my folks. And last night, we offered our prayers at St Peter’s and St Anne’s Church in Bandra.”

Celina Jaitly : Christmas in our family is very special. I remember being told the story that in 1962 my grandfather who was missing in the Indo-China war came back over Christmas. It’s a very special occasion for our family. I will be celebrating Christmas with my family, like always.

Amrita Rao : Christmas is an occasion I look forward to every year, as it a perfect opportunity for me to break away from my daily routine and consciously spread happiness and love around me. I have always celebrated Christmas with great fervour and I believe that the warmth and joy of Christmas, brings us closer to each other.This year, I am planning to spend my Christmas with family and close friends over quiet dinner.

Shazahn Padamsee : For me Christmas is spending time with my family. Giving a receiving a lot of gifts, decorating the house with Xmas decorations and of course hosting our annual Padamsee xmas bash!

Recently Amrita hired the services of a new maid, Rani who apparently was a crazy fan. Amrita already has two maids, a spot boy, a personal assistant and a driver at her ready disposal but hired the services of an additional maid for her mother who requires help frequently with the household work as the other employees are busy tending to Amrita’s needs.

This maid apparently was an avid follower of hers from Rajasthan who had come via the reference of a neighboring building’s resident. She used to intently watch each and every move of Amrita’s whilst she was at home which caused a lot of unrest to Amrita as her mother’s needs seemed to be sidelined. Infact once Amrita’s family member caught her looking into Amrita’s personal wardrobe and trying on few of her garments when no one was at home. At one instance Amrita who really loses her cool was seen getting angry but her heart melted when the maid began crying and stating how poor she was.

This Tuesday, Bollywood fraternity came together to support the cause of girl child education by walking the ramp in the fashion show named ‘Mizwan - Sonnets in fabric’. The show was organized by Shabana Azmi, was conceptualized by Namrita Goyal and styled by renowned fashion designer Manish Malhotra and Anita Dongre. The funds raised from the event will be given to the Mizwan welfare society, founded by eminent poet Kaifi Azmi, father of Shabana Azmi, for the empowerment of girl child.

The stars showcased the designs of the young students of five renowned fashion institutes of Mumbai. The likes of stars like Urmila Matondkar, Tushar Kapoor, Prachi Desai, Amrita Rao, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Raima Sen, Soha Ali Khan, Farhan Akhtar, Celina Jaitley, Abhishek Bachchan, Konkona Sen, Malaika Arora Khan, Diya Mirza, Abhay Deol and R. Madhavan set the ramp afire.

Also present there was the Bachchan Bahu Aishwarya Rai, who said, “Very honestly we are here for Shabana Azmi. I think the fact that she is doing something so noble and fulfilling her father’s dream is definitely is very moving. We are here to support her to support her fathers’ dreams of all the accomplishments of Mizwan welfare society,” she said.

“What to me is very-very interesting is that you get generation next to get the opportunity of lifetime. They could never dream that while they are students all these leading stars would showcase their clothes and you connect it to a small little girl child that is still waiting to be empowered in Mizwan the village in which my father was born. His focus was the education of girl child,” said Shabana Azmi.

Now here is gossip! After Hrs has learnt that Amrita Rao, who has also joined the Twitter brigade, is highly disappointed with her one-time ‘good friend’ Shahid Kapoor. Shahid has apparently decided not to respond to her posts on his profile.

Amrita is very disturbed at this development and is wondering whether the person she is following is the real Shahid or it’s a fake profile. A close friend of the star says: “Shahid was Amrita’s co-star and close friend.

He has not been responding to Amrita’s Twitter messages in spite of his fans re-Tweeting him on his ignorance. Shahid was in touch with Amrita some time ago and no one knows what has transpired between them. Maybe they are texting each other privately, but Amrita is quite disturbed at this.”

They are social butterflies, so whatever they wear is captured by the paparazzi.

Even second-hand style, as is the case with Priyanka Chopra’s latest ‘gown’.

In fact, ‘gown’ are the days when exclusivity was the mantra if this Seeta aur Geeta mishap is anything to go by.

What makes it more amusing is that the me-too attempt is not by the lesser of the duo, Amrita Rao, but by the style icon herself. After all, fashion ka hai yeh jalwa …

Priyanka Chopra wore an outfit to a swish party held on Friday, which Amrita Rao had worn on national television ten days ago.

Worse still, Priyanka is apparently not even aware of her faux-pas. The most interesting aspect of this.

Confirming this, Swapnil claimed, “Woh Priyanka wala outfit mera diya hua tha. She was very happy with it.
