The technical awards winners of International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards 2010 have been announced.

Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots dominated the technical awards section of the IIFA awards, which is scheduled to be held in Sri lanka from June 3 to 5.

3 Idiots beat other films by bagging awards for Best Screenplay, Cinematography, Dialogue, Background Score, Editing, Best Sound Recording, and Sound Re-recording. It was nominated in 14 categories including best film, best actor, best director and best actress.

Post ‘Tashan’ and ‘Kurbaan’, the Saifeena couple is geared up for their next project under Saif’s home production titled ‘Agent Vinod’. The movie is a spy thriller and has both Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor playing secret agents. The twist her is that Kareena’s character holds a greyer shade this time.

This slick thriller is directed by Sriram Raghvan and the story portrays a war-like situation in Asia where Bebo works with corporate biggies who hope to cash in on the state of affairs. It later comes out that she is a spy of the Pakistani Government in the end. Kareena will also sport five different looks in the movie using the same prosthetics which gave the different looks to Hrithik in ‘Dhoom 2’.

Kareena had a mixed year in 2009 with two flops as ‘Main aur Mrs. Khanna’ and ‘Kurbaan’ and then the mega blockbuster opposite Aamir Khan in ‘3 Idiots’.

What 2010 has in store for her, it is yet to be seen……

Aamir Khan-starrer 3 Idiots has bagged maximum number of nominations at the 2010 International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) awards this year.

Directed by Rajkumar Hirani and produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra, 3 Idiots marked its presence in all categories except best supporting actress. It has received 14 nominations including best film, best actor, best director and best actress, among others.

Other films nominated are Saif Ali Khan’s Love Aaj Kal that has bagged nine nominations, while IIFA brand ambassador Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Paa and Shahid Kapoor’s Kaminey both got eight nominations each.

Kareena Kapoor is basking in the glory of 3 Idiots, although her role was very limited in the movie.

Kareena says, “Who says I’ve nothing to do? I’m very much part of the main drama. Would the story move forward if you remove my character?”Everywhere I go, I am swamped by compliments for the role. The length of the role didn’t matter. I’m just glad to be part of a historic happening.”

Talking about her chemistry with Aamir she says, “Everyone in one voice thinks we look good together. I think Aamir and I make a fantastic pair. I’dlove to do another film with him immediately, this time I don’t want share him with other pivotal characters.”

“When Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir asked me to be part of their film, I jumped at it. I knew the film would be special because of Raju and Aamir, and I was right. As far as our cinema is concerned, Aamir is god.”

Well folks want to see more of Kareena and Aamir?

Director Rohit Shetty has signed on Kareena Kapoor for Golmaal 3. She is going to be the only heroine in the film as Kareena has made it very clear that she does not want to work in multiple heroine projects. So, she will be one of the leads along with the five guys– Ajay Devgn, Tusshar Kapoor, Sharman Joshi, Arshad Warsi and Shreyas Talpade.

And this time, she will not play the romantic interest of any of the guys. Golmaal 3 also promises to be a family entertainer and won’t have any of the boys’ jokes that the earlier films did. The film is expected to start rolling in April 2010.

The year 2009 had been a great year for the music lovers as the
industry churned out various hits each with a different style ranging
from soft romantic numbers to rustic numbers, youthful songs to
fun-filled light music. Let us have a look at the songs which topped
the music charts in the year which is dying off.

This song from ‘Dev D’ was an unexpected hit and was liked by
younger generations because of its uniqueness and difference. The song
has been sung by Bony Chakravarthy. Composed by Amit Trivedi, it echoes

Oozing freshness in every way, this expressive number from
A.R.Rehman swept the music lovers off their feet. This fun-filled light
number from the film ‘Delhi-6′ sung by Mohit Chauhan is still a hot
favorite of music channels.

Dhan Te Nan

This edgy, energetic, and rustic number from ‘Kaminey’
has a touch of rock to it. Composed by Vishal Bhardwaj, the song has
been sung by Sukhwinder Singh and Vishal Dadlani. This rocking number
has topped the music charts of 2009.

Tera Hone Laga Hoon

This is by far the most romantic and soothing number of 2009.
Pakistani Singer Atif Aslam has sung this song with Alsiha Chinoi.
Pritam has composed a beautiful love ballad for the recently released
film ‘Ajab Prem Ki Ghazab Kahani’.

All Izz Well

This youthful, campus number from ‘3 Idiots’ has given a perfect
ending to the year. This fun track has raw energy and is filled with
whistles in the background. Sung by Sonu Niigaam, Swanand Kirkire and
Shaan and composed by Shantanu Moitra, it is a hot favorite among all
music channels.

Sanjay Dutt attended the premiere of 3 Idiots to cheer for good friends Aamir Khan and Vidhu Vinod Chopra. Nephew Imran Khan also came along with his fiance Avantika to cheer and wish his Mamu Aamir Khan.

It was night when all the three Khans of Bollywood came together, good friend Salman Khan attended the premiere of 3 Idiots and cheered for Salman.

With their film releasing on Christmas, Aamir Khan, Sharman Joshi and R.Madhavan got together to celebrate the spirit of Christmas and their released flick 3 Idiots.
